The last ProAV/Digital Signage Boot Camp of 2012 took place in the Los Angeles, CA. On November 6-7th, solution providers from the western United States traveled to downtown LA for two days of training and product demonstrations at the Sheraton Downtown LA hotel.
The objective of this boot camp is to assist solution providers in expanding their businesses into the ProAV and Digital Signage markets. Attendees heard from industry speakers, manufacturers, and Ingram Micro ProAV/Digital Signage business unit leaders. Resellers also had time to view live product demonstrations during the roundtable sessions.
Alan Brawn, Principal at Brawn Consulting, spoke on the importance of planning and
the Seven Key Elements in Digital Signage. Robert Nishida, of HDDS Design, LLC,
provided insight in his peer success story. Along with presentations from Peerless-AV, Sharp, LG, Intel, Samsung, Optoma, Elo, AOpen, C2G, Sony, Panasonic, Planar, NEC concluded the event with a half day seminar. Solution providers learned about their content management software, touch technology, and leasing and financing options.
Attendees also had an evening out on the town at the Hard Rock Café next to Grauman’s
Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard. After the NEC seminar, solution providers enjoyed a suite at the Staples Center for a Clippers game, where the Clippers beat the San Antonio Spurs 106 to 84.
